Chilterns access statement
Private parking is available for up to 5 cars. There is free unrestricted street parking available on most of the surrounding roads.
Public transport (bus service) is available nearby (300m).
The entrance to Chilterns is up one step (15cm high) and then the front door is 84cm wide.
The large inviting newly carpeted hallway has a rest chair, tourist information, and further information such as bus timetables.
The dining room is on the right (door width 82cm).
We have no bedrooms or toilet on the ground floor; our guest bedrooms are situated on the first, second and third floors.
We are happy to assist guests with luggage but you are advised to check with us before booking that a lower room is available if you have any mobility issues.
We have a Guest Toilet with hand basin on the half landing to the right hand side prior to the first floor (door width 82cm).
Stairs to the first floor are split into two parts. Flight 1 has 12 steps (19cm high), then there are a further 4 steps (19cm high) to the first floor. The first floor landing has Premier guest room 1 (door 78cm wide), also rooms 2 & 3 (which are private).
Stairs to the second floor are also split into two parts. Flight 1 has 10 steps (19cm high), then there are a further 6 steps (19cm high) to the second floor landing with access to Premier Guest Room 4, (door 78cm wide), Premier Guest Room 5, (door 78cm wide), and room 6 which is private.
Stairs to the third floor are also split into two parts. Flight 1 has 9 steps (19cm high), then there are a further 6 steps, (19cm high). This takes you to the third floor landing with access to Standard guest room 7, (door 78cm wide), Twin room 8 (door 76cm wide) and Small double room 9 (door 76cm wide).
All emergency exits are clearly marked and stairs and landings are well lit, (night lights operate during the night to early morning), and have emergency lighting.
Guests have 24hr room access.
Chilterns is Adults Only, we are unable to accommodate children or pets.
Elevators are not available however help is available with luggage.
The owners live on the premises and may be contacted by an internal bell or simply phone if assistance is required.
